Different Features to Use on IG

If you follow me on social media, I’m sure you can guess this about me…

I am a big fan of Instagram.

I use it a lot for my online businesses.

But today, I’m speaking to you, my friend. I’m going to tell you all about how to use the app in the most effective way for your business right now.

Before we dive into it, I’m sure you can agree with me that Instagram for entrepreneurs is different from Instagram for people who want to laugh at funny reels and like nice pictures.

You’re not that kind of user.

You want to make money with Instagram.

You want to grow a business.

You want to attract new customers.

You’re not the average Joe, so you probably shouldn’t use Instagram like the average Joe.

In this video, I’ll be walking you through Instagram’s features and will be teaching you how to use these features to expand your business.

Reels

You got to do reels to be seen right now.

Look, I never thought I’d be dancing on videos and acting on videos like I am today. I just sucked it up, got out of my comfort zone, did the dang thing and posted it.

Eventually, it became fun.

I want to give you a few pointers to help you immensely in using reels to promote your business.

My first tip is that you should try to give your audience a peek behind the scenes.

If your business has to do with making stuff, you could do a reel showing the process of making that product.

If you regularly market your product, they already know what it looks like, but they will be fascinated by how it’s made.

IGTV

Ok, so another feature of Instagram you should be taking full advantage of is IGTV.

IGTV is like an app within the Instagram app.

The thing about this feature is that it allows you to share videos that are up to an hour-long – like a TV episode.

IGTV is an absolute godsend for entrepreneurs who need to push out long video content to market their business and brand.

If you have a business that deals with complicated products that require tutorials to use or install properly, you can use IGTV to film long and useful tutorial videos that can be immensely helpful to them.

Highlights

The third feature we have to talk about is those little dots on your profile called Highlights.

Instagram story highlights, or highlights as most people call them, are just collections of pictures, videos, and posts that you’ve posted to your Instagram Story in the past.

These stories are usually referred to as albums, and most people and brands arrange their albums with different themes.

So, how can you use highlights to market your brand?

Well, the first thing to do is to have a highlight dedicated to your product.

If new people visit your account and see a highlight named products, they are more likely to click through that than go through your entire feed looking for what you do.

Your highlights will serve as an information shortcut for them, and you can even direct them to your website from highlights.

Guides

The fourth one I want to talk about is Instagram Guides.

I’ve just started getting into guides! So let me slide this in. If you haven’t checked out my first-ever guide, head on over!

It’s about some big mistakes I made as an entrepreneur.

Instagram Guides are basically what you’d get if you tried to merge Instagram carousels and blog posts.

They can be made with previously published posts, product listings from your account, and even places.

If you don’t know how to create Instagram Guides, check out this week’s episode, and I will give you a super easy run-through!

There is so much more info in this week’s episode-including how to maximize the impact of your IG feed. So head on over to the video, and I will see you there!
