Content Creation How to Take 3 Photos in 1 Sitting

I bet you’ll agree with this one…

One of the hardest parts of content creation is…creating the content.

It’s a lot.

Between writing captions, shooting reels, going live, and making sure you have photos readily available, it’s a lot more time and effort than people usually realize.

So today, I want to break things down really simple for you when it comes to content creation and making sure you are prepped for social media dominance. Sometimes you just need things to be easy!

Girl, You Gotta Batch

You can’t really pre-create lives and reels right now, but there are some things that you can batch -what I mean by batch is that you pre-create specific content so that they are always available to post when you need them for social media. Today, I’m talking about photos.

So many people get so caught up in photos that they think they need professional photoshoots or always need to be “camera-ready”…

When really we just want to take off our bra, put our hair in a messy bun & work in comfort.

So let me break down a simple way where you can capture three photos in just one sitting – I’m gonna call this the 3 photo challenge.

Let’s get into it!

The 3 Photo Challenge

For this example, let’s imagine that you are working at a cafe for the day.

But really, it doesn’t have to be a cafe.

It could be your home, office, pool, or wherever you do most of your work.

And all you need is a couple of minutes.

The first thing you’ll want to do is take a look at what is around you.

You don’t have to be in a fancy photo studio- look at what is around you that you could simply use as a prop in your photos.

Do you have your computer?

Notebook?

A tea?

What’s around you?

We are going to use this prop in all three images, just in different ways.

I do this a lot with my computer, so let’s stick with that for this example.

Photo #1

For the first photo, I’ll take a selfie. Sometimes the computer or object is in it. Sometimes it’s not.

Regardless, take a quick selfie showing your face.

Photo #2

The next picture is about the object itself.

Take a picture of your computer and add in a tea or your hand or something along those lines.

This time you aren’t the central focus – the object is.

And for the third picture, you’ll set your camera timer and get a candid photo of yourself.

Set the timer; set it up against an object to hold it up, and let the camera give you your 10-second count down.

Take a photo of you working on your computer.

Drink your tea.

Do something natural.

And that’s it.

You’ve got three pictures in a matter of minutes, in one sitting.

Start there. And stop overthinking it.

People want to see you and your everyday life on social media.

They don’t want to see some professional headshot all the time.

It’s boring and tells them nothing about who you are.

So you’ve taken your 3 photos, they look great, and they are ready to post. Now what? And more importantly, how do you make the 3 photo challenge a regular part of your work life?
