How to Schedule Content

How to Schedule Content

Hey there, friend!

I’ve spent the last few weeks sharing how you can create your content ahead of time. That way, you have content to schedule out.

Each week I’m adding on one more task you can do that week to automate your business a little bit more.

Today, I’m going to tell you how to schedule your Instagram post using four different automation tools (this is for business Instagram profiles only).

That way, you are as efficient as possible!

LATER

The first app I’ll be showing you is called Later.

It is a scheduling tool for social media that works with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and Twitter.

To get started, you have to download and sign in to the Later app.

Once done, the next step is to add media.

You can do this by dragging images to the media library or by connecting to your dropbox or google drive.

There are 2 different ways to create a post in Later.

The first one is by clicking directly on the image.

When you do that, the post-creation window comes up.

You can then edit your cropped picture and proceed to add a caption to the post when it does.

Once that is done, proceed to the bottom of the window to select the time and date you want.

The scheduled date is now noted on your calendar.

The second way is to drag and drop the content from your media library into the calendar at the time and date you prefer.

I find this is easier to do on a computer vs your phone.

Immediately when you drag the photo into the calendar, a pop-up to write in your caption appears automatically on your screen with the date and time already added at the bottom.

Finally, when it is time for your content to be posted, your later app automatically posts it for you.

If you don’t like Later, you can try the app called Planoly, which is another scheduler.

PLANOLY

This one is very popular for Instagram and Pinterest users.

An amazing feature Planoly has is Shoplink and Stylelink.it.

Shoplink works just like the product features on Instagram and enables users to shop Instagram content directly from the post using direct URL links.

Stylelink.it on the other hand, allows bloggers and influencers to link products on content and generate affiliate links.

To schedule content on Planoly, you have to start with your grid planner view on your Planoly app.

To do that, tap on the ‘+’ icon to begin to upload the media you want to be posted on your Instagram.

Then select the media you want to be scheduled and tap on schedule.

Afterward, you will see the schedule where you can select a time and date.

At the bottom, there will be a pop-up with an option to “add a quick schedule.”

By tapping on the add a quick schedule option, you can select your preferred time to schedule your content. Your post will automatically go live without getting a manual notification at the due time.

If Playnoly sounds too complicated for you, let’s check out another scheduler – Hootsuite.

HOOTSUITE

Hootsuite is an awesome social media management tool that allows you to view multiple social media streams together and monitor your customer reviews.

With this tool, you can review responses and connect with your customer base on over 35 social networks, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Like every other tool, it allows you to schedule posts and content across your favourite social media platform in advance.

You can do this by simply picking the time and date that you prefer.

Then, view your already scheduled post in a very easy-to-read calendar-like format.

Hootsuite has an excellent bookmark plug-in called a Hootlet for you to share content with your followers quickly.

Clicking on the Hootlet button shortens the URL and inserts important snippets into your social media message.

All right, I got one more for you!

This one is a newer option and one that works only with your Facebook and Instagram accounts.

CREATOR STUDIO

This is a tool that brings together social media analytics, community management, and scheduling.

Anyone with access to a Facebook page can use CreatorStudio, plus this one is entirely free.

To schedule a post on Instagram using the app, you need to connect your Instagram account to it.

Once you’ve got that covered, you’re on your way.

So take it from me.

When you schedule your content, you’ll be able to easily live your life, disconnect, or focus on other aspects of your business – without stressing out about posting on your social media platforms.

Plus, I’d rather teach you how to work smarter, not harder.
