In this episode, I’m going to show you how to create a compelling webinar topic that will get people excited to sign up.
This is something that a lot of people struggle with because they don’t know what their audience wants or what will be the most helpful for them.
But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
I’m going to break down 4 guidelines I use for myself and my clients when we decide on what webinar topic to use to promote their offer.
#1: Choose A Topic That Is Relevant To Your Audience.
So, the first one is making sure you choose a topic that is relevant to your audience.
This one may be obvious, as I’m stating it out loud now, but you’d be surprised how many people choose a webinar topic that their audience literally cares nothing about.
So before you even think about your webinar topic, I want you to do one thing…
Step into your dream client’s shoes.
The key is to make sure you really understand what your audience cares about…
And even more important, what is one problem they are facing right now that you can help them solve.
This takes me to rule number two.
#2: Find a Unique Angle or Perspective on the Issue
If you know ONE problem your audience has right now, and you know you can help them find a way out of that problem…
That’s a key indicator that you have a great webinar topic brewing.
I’m saying ONE problem and emphasizing that to you because I know our audiences have many issues you can solve.
But remember, you don’t want to give away everything.
You simply want to choose one problem your audience has that, of course, they care enough about that they are looking for a solution, and you’ll want to be the voice behind that solution.
Finding that unique angle or perspective on that problem is going to be key too.
How can you take your audience from where they are now to where they want to be?
We live in a world where information is at our fingertips.
If it’s on TV, in blogs, on YouTube videos, on other people’s podcasts or on social media…
We can literally find anything we are looking for…
So when you are trying to come up with your webinar topic, the key is to position it in an intriguing way, offering that solution but at the same time giving a new perspective.
Always ask yourself – why would they want this? And how can this help them?
For example, my Spotlight Theory program helps entrepreneurs generate more clients online. Aka, the problem is that they want to grow their client base.
And then, I focus on choosing the topic around that.
I know the problem is they need more clients, and I know the strategy I’d take my clients through and what I teach in my course.
