15 Different Reel Ideas

reel ideas

There’s been a pretty big divide with responses over the last few weeks regarding reels.

On one side of it, people simply just have no interest in doing reels.

They post on social media for their business, but they aren’t interested in putting any more work into it.

And that’s totally fine.

But then there are other entrepreneurs…

The people that want to do reels.

…. the ones who know the importance of it…

… they can see it all happening right in front of them…

… they just are stuck with figuring out what actually to post about…

And more times than not, I hear them say they just aren’t creative.

That’s what I want to cover with you today.

In this week’s episode, I’m going to give you fifteen different reel ideas that you could implement over the next 15 weeks, or 8 weeks, or 15 days … whatever rate you want to go at.

In the blog, I’m going to give you my top 5 reel ideas – you will have to check out the video for the rest of them! So worth it!

Let’s dive in.

#1 Tutorials

I always tell entrepreneurs to go back to the basics when things aren’t working out.

And the basics, in this case, are tutorials.

For example, if you sell leather bags, you could make a reel about cleaning those bags.

This sort of content serves two purposes.

First off, it spreads awareness that you actually do what you say you can.

And secondly, it tells people that you’re an expert and someone who should be trusted.

Content like this is remarkable because it not only drives engagement from people who are grateful for your help and are learning something new…

…they also drive higher conversion rates because you’re showcasing competence.

And if there’s one thing people trust and love, it’s competence.

#2 Testimonials

If you keep telling people that you’re great at this or without showing them any social proof, they will most likely take it with a grain of salt.

However, if you can show them other people who can confirm your story. . . they will start believing what you are asking saying…

A fun way to integrate testimonials into reels is by piecing together videos of people saying great things about your brand.

And at this point, if you don’t have a bunch of testimonial videos laying around…

Start with one or even take a screenshot or video of all your google reviews.

#3 Behind the Scenes

One of the essential things that every small to the medium-sized business owner must learn is to humanize their brand.

This means giving your brand that human touch that many of the biggest brands can’t seem to have, no matter how much they try.

Turning your behind-the-scenes videos into a reel can be a significant step in humanizing your brand.

For example, let’s say that you are a photographer and you are editing photos. Take a time-lapse video of you editing all your photos sitting at your desk.

#4 Before and After

Some people think this idea only works for stylists, makeup artists, personal trainers, or decorators.

But it doesn’t have to be just for physical transformations.

Showing a before and after of how you made your client feel.

Or a before and after of you making a recipe. Maybe you show all the ingredients first, and then the final baked good after.

Or let’s say your business is very result-driven and number-focused; let’s say you show how you were able to help your clients go from $10,000 in their bank account to $100,000 in a year with investments.

You know how you feel watching a make-over in a movie. It’s just so satisfying, and these reels will have the same effect.

#5 Motivational Message

As far as I can tell, reels like this are top-rated because people love being inspired.

So if you’re looking for a high volume of engagement, you should look into making motivational reels.

But before you dive into making that reel, I want you to go and scroll your explorer page…

There’s a lot of voice-overs from incredible motivational speakers like Ed Mylet that you can use.

Simply add a video of you walking outside, working out, or playing with your kids…

That’s a motivational message with a massive focus on your image.

Out of those 5, which one stuck out to you the most?

Write that one down, and commit to posting that this week! And if you want 10 more reel ideas and inspiration for a whole lot more, check out this week’s video!
