I wanna chat about something that a lot of people are afraid of in the online world – spending money on social media paid ads.
Now, I know what you’re thinking, “I don’t have enough money,” or “It’s too risky.”
But trust me when I say that if you want your business to grow, you need to START spending money on paid ads.
And in this episode, I’m going to break it all down for you, focusing on Facebook and Instagram paid ads.
What Are Paid Ads?
If you don’t know what these ads are, essentially, what we can do on the back end of social media is pay money to put specific posts in front of our dream clients.
Now that’s a very high-level description, and I’ll dive deeper into it in just a second…
But before I do, I want you to think back to the last time you were scrolling through social media…
Do you recall seeing the word “sponsor” next to a post?
That’s how you know if someone is running a paid ad or not.
Why We Love Them
One thing I love about these ads is that they can be targeted to specific audiences based on interests, demographics, and location.
So next time I ask you who your dream client is, there’s a reason why I am asking that.
If you know you want to target women between the ages of 25-30 who love yoga and reading and are looking for a new mortgage – we can.
When creating a Facebook or Instagram ad, you can choose your target audience based on location, age, gender, and interests.
You can also set a budget and choose how long you want the ad to run.
Once the ad is created, it will be shown to people who fit the target audience and will stay within your budget.
On top of being able to target your dream client and reach a broader audience with paid ads, a couple of other major reasons why I love them is that…
you can generate leads while you sleep.
With ads, once you set them up and they are converting, you can let them run 24/7, 365 days of the year (with some exceptions, of course).
And when you combine them with a complete digital marketing system with emails and funnels, you can truly generate leads, build relationships and boost sales.
What To Avoid
Like I said, it’s extremely powerful, but of course, there are certain aspects you want to make sure you avoid when running ads.
A lot of people fall into the trap of pressing the boost or sponsor button that they see on their feed next to their posts.
I highly suggest learning how to run ads through an ad manager if you want to run ads.
