What to Write for Social Captions?

Social Captions

I never thought I’d be doing what I do these days on social media.

The thing is, though, if you are using social media to try to grow your business…

You just gotta do it.

You gotta put in what you want to get out.

In this episode, I’m going to cover just three types of social media posts or “captions” for you…

.. and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this… there’s a lot more type of content you could be creating.

However, let me just slide this in there…

If you want to know more in-depth stuff, you’re always welcome to sign up for my Social Media Automation Bootcamp…

… where I’ll teach you everything and anything you need to know about creating content and automating it.

Now, before we start with the kind of posts that will convert and convert FAST, I need you to get a few things first.

The first is this.

It doesn’t matter how many strategies I teach you or how many episodes you watch or listen to about creating content, you’re going to get nothing, and I mean NOTHING done if you don’t know who you’re talking to.

Girl, you need to understand your ideal customer avatar.

It’s literally the first thing you have to do.

Know who your customers are.

Once you know that, you’ll know what will attract them.

So, let’s get into 3 different ideas for content that you could create.

Been There- You Are Not Alone

#1 The first kind of content I want to talk to you about is one I like to call Been There- You Are Not Alone post.

I feel this post is one of the most powerful posts to write.

These posts are designed to make your audience feel like you understand what they are going through.

With these posts, you’ll want to share a story of something you went through to get to where you are today or to get through a challenge that maybe your audience is facing right now.

How can you relate to your audience by sharing a story that you went through?

Spotlight Post

The spotlight posts are where you are talking about YOU.

Aka, you are putting yourself into the spotlight.

These posts are basically where you constantly tell people what you do, what you sell, what services you offer.

And yeah, I get it.

It can be a little icky to post about yourself constantly.

but this is not you saying-

“Hey, you there, buy my stuff”.

It’s you saying –

“Hey, guys. I can help you do this stuff, and help you achieve your goals, and make your life super easy.

That’s why I’m here — to help you. You don’t have to go through what you’re going through right now.

I can help you!”

That’s the sort of energy your Spotlight Posts should give off.

Bragging Results Posts

#3 This takes us to the third type of post content you can make: Bragging Posts!

Okay, okay, okay, I know you’re thinking, but Lisa, people don’t like people who brag.

And that’s true.

You probably don’t like people who brag.

I don’t either.

But this isn’t just bragging for bragging sake.

This is bragging about your results.

That means you have to give a prospective client a reason to choose you and listen to you, and not some other random person.

You’ve got to tell them, hey, look, the reason why you should send me that DM or go through my stories is because of this!

And the best way to do that is to brag about your results.

Your result-driven posts showcase what you’ve achieved in a way that will inspire them to achieve those same results.

When you brag about your results, whether by posting screenshots of great customer reviews or having your clients post the reviews and then reposting…

… you’re telling your audience that hey, this person trusted me with this stuff and listened to me, and now they are happy.

You, too, could be as happy as they are if you choose to trust me and listen to me.

Results are the proof they need to push them closer to you.

When you combine your bragging about your result posts, spotlight posts, and your not-alone post…

You’ll definitely notice an increase in engagement!
